Tightline Adventures

The east slopes of southern Alberta’s Rocky Mountains are renowned for their breathtaking scenery and Blue Ribbon Trout waters. Whether you are interested in Big Brown and Rainbow Trout on the famous Bow River, or the feisty Cutthroat Trout in a beautiful stream, Tightline Adventures can design a trip to make your fly-fishing experience a memorable one. We will design a fly-fishing trip to meet all of your expectations whether beginner or expert.   Beginner fly fishers will have the personal attention of a guide to introduce them to the basics of sport while the expert fly-fisher will have the guides expertise and knowledge of the local area and its’ fish which will dramatically increase their chances of hooking, landing and releasing more fish.

All equipment is supplied, (quality rods, reels, lines, waders), and to keep your energy up, a hearty lunch, snacks and beverages are included.

Our Client’s can choose between a Drift Boat trip, and a Walk and Wade trip.

The drift boat trip is the most popular way to cover the longest stretch of the Bow River, roughly 8-15kms.  The day starts with a short drive to the “put in” point, and then the next 5 to 9 hours is spent drifting the Bow with a professional guide to take you to all of the best fishing spots.

If you enjoy the outdoors, and exercise, the walk and wade fishing trip is the way to go.   Enjoy a beautiful drive and a short hike as our guide leads you to one of our local hot spots for 4 to 6 hours of spectacular fly-fishing
The fly-fishing season begins in May and runs through to October.  Dry fly-fishing peaks in July, August, and September, but as long as there are fish in the river Tightline Adventures will guide you to them.
